WHAT WE LEARN: Practice is the best way to master hand drawing and there’s no better way than do it together! This is why I created this online sketching community where we can meet up virtually every week, no matter where you are, and learn different drawing techniques, tips an tricks, focusing on urban sketching. All drawing skill levels are welcome to join!
YOU CAN REWATCH: If you missed a session, or you want to rewatch the process at your own pace, you can just replay the HD recorded version of the workshop at any time!

MATERIALS
The following materials are recommended only, feel free to use any materials that are similar to these one listed below. You can find these in the link here
Ink Drawing
- Pen: Fountain Pen (recommended) with M or F nib or Fineliners 0.5mm and 0.1mm – black colour
- Ink: Carbon Platinum ink or similar waterproof ink
- Water brush with grey ink or a grey color marker with round brush tip.
- Ink Sketchbook: with Minimum of 200 g/ms hot pressed white pages and hardback (recommended) Size A5 or A4 or equivalent loose paper
- Paperclips
- Pencil (B or 2B)
- Ruler
- Eraser
Watercolour Drawing
- Watercolour Sketchbook: 300 g/ms hot pressed white pages and hardback (recommended) Size A5 or A4 or equivalent loose paper
- Watercolour Set with primary and secondary colours. Any sets of 12 should be enough.
- Brushes: Round tip brush sizes 2, 6 and 10 or equivalent waterbrush
- 2 water container
- Tissues
- Masking tape
DESK AND CAMERA SETUP
You can enjoy the Online Sketch Club anywhere, with any types of devices and setups.
If you want to be more involved in the interactive workshop and share your sketch with me in real time, so I can provide you more indications and guidance, it is recommended to follow the live stream with an external webcam pointing towards your drawing.

Yes, the Online Workshop session will be recorded with Zoom and will be available for reply for several months.
Yes, you can purchase any previous episode or any previous month of workshop! Just put the date of the workshop in the registration form (i.e. 01/08/2025 or August 2025).
Here is the list of materials I use for my drawings. During the workshops the majority of these materials are provided (excluding watercolor, brushes and stool), but I recommend you to bring your own fountain pen and sketchbook in order to keep your practicing consistent.

Absolutely yes and it is encouraged. We will start with the basics of ink drawing and architecture perspective before guiding you step by step into the drawing itself.
Every artist has his own distinct way to approach to urban sketching. The beauty of this workshop is that it will offer you a fresh way to observe the world through Andrea’s ink drawing and watercolor style. Drawing together with Andrea will also give you new inspirations and shared drawing experience to further enrich your art journey.
